Pinacosaurus was an armored herbivore (plant-eater) that lived in China and Mongolia during the late Cretaceous period, between about 80 million and 75 million years ago. Pinacosaurus was about 16 feet (5 meters) long. Like other Ankylosaurs, it was covered with armor to protect it from predators. It also had a bony club at the end of its tail.
